We will taste 10 wines.
Bread and cheeses will be served.
Attendees will be offered special prices on these wines. Regular retail prices for
the wines to be tasted range from about $15
to about $50 per bottle. We will begin
promptly at 7 pm and taste the
wines in sequence, with comments on each wine. Come early so you won’t miss
the first
wines. The tasting will last about two hours.It's a "Gallo Gala" as we taste these very impressive California wines from the E&J Gallo group. These wines have been grabbing awards, high ratings--and lots of attention. Martini is a prime example. Louis Martini Winery, pioneer of the California wine industry, was founded in 1933. Louis Martini's passion was to produce highest quality Cabernet Sauvignons from Sonoma and Napa; he considered Cabernet Sauvignon the most noble grape. Under the Gallo umbrella, Louis Martini Winery is continuing its tradition of exciting Cabs under the leadership of Michael Martini, grandson of its founder. Gallo capital, distribution network and expertise have promoted these wineries. You will be guided by Mike Bragg, who will share with us his first-hand knowledge of these properties and their excellent wines.
